Bus Conduct Violation Policy
 

First Incident – First write-up.  Parent will receive a letter from the Transportation Department.

Second Incident – Second write-up.  Parent will receive a letter and a phone call from the Transportation Department.

Third Incident – Five (5) days loss of riding privileges.  Parent will receive a letter and a phone call from the Transportation Department.

Fourth Incident – Ten (10) days loss of riding privileges.  Parent will receive a letter and a phone call from the Transportation Department.

Fifth Incident – A minimum of thirty (30) school days or up to the end of the school year, depending on the severity of the offense.

PLEASE NOTE:  STEPS MAY BE BYPASSED IN THE CASE OF SERIOUS OFFENSES.  These offenses include fighting; damaging school property; possession of illegal or restricted drugs per school policy; possession of a forbidden weapon or weapon replica, per State mandate; and smoking.  This is by no means an all-inclusive list of serious offenses. 

Parents and guardians who desire to discuss student discipline concerns with the bus driver should call the transportation department to arrange for an appointment, rather than stopping the bus driver in route or calling the driver’s home.
