The school iPads are in need of an update. The instructions are in a document found at the link below. Most important we want to make sure that if your internet comes from a mobile hotspot that this update is about 1.5 gigs, so if you choose to do it at home just be aware of your data limits. If you have cable or DSL there should be no issues. If you do not have the internet at home there will be opportunites to do the update at school. It's better if the iPads are plugged in when the update is done, that's why we're having kids do it at home. We need to finish the update before testing begins in the spring. If you have any questions send at email to and we'll repond as soon as we can. Currently we block the web sites that deliver the updates to the updates, we'll unblock these sites FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 after school. If you try it before then it will fail.

If you are asked to put in an Apple ID that ends in just hit cancel.

Saturday morning update.
Hearing from a few folks that the iPads are trying to do an older update. Try the steps below and if that fails don't worry about it over the weekend. Enjoy the sunshine. We'll work our way around the classrooms next week and sort out any issues.

It is the goal of Ludington Area School District to use technology to establish a partnership with the community to motivate parent, student and teacher learning.  We believe our students need to be technologically literate and use technology where appropriate in the curriculum.  This page is intended to share information with LASD students, parents, community members, and other stakeholders regarding our 1:1 initiative.
